Privacy notice on the use of AI in our answering machine for the enigmania group

1. Nature and scope of data storage

When you call the phone numbers 0231-20659222 and 0203-36993925, you are connected to an AI-supported answering machine. During the call, speech is automatically converted into text (transcription). The content of the conversation and, where provided, your phone number are processed to handle your enquiry or for a possible callback. Voice recordings are not stored permanently. In principle, only general information can be requested from the AI. For further services, such as booking enquiries, you can be connected to a member of staff.

2. Legal basis

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the efficient handling of telephone enquiries and improved availability, including outside usual business hours.

3. Notice on the use of AI

At the start of the call we inform you pursuant to Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act) that you are communicating with an AI-supported system. If you do not wish this, you can end the call. On a subsequent call, select “Option 1” by voice or keypad to be connected to a member of staff or to leave a callback request. For the provision of AI telephony we use TryKi UG (limited liability) as a processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Data security and privacy

Processing for the AI-supported answering machine takes place exclusively on servers within the European Union. Speech data is processed only for the duration of transcription and is not stored permanently. The text protocol generated during transcription is automatically deleted no later than after 30 days. Data processed in the context of using the AI-supported answering machine is not used for training or further development of the AI system.
